Switching ON the appliance and
important operating information
Before switching ON the
appliance for the first time
q Check that the white caps,
(Fig. w/18), are on the appliance
doors.
Warning:
Attach these three caps, otherwise
the appliance cannot function.
q Clean the inside of the appliance
(see the chapter on Cleaning the
appliance").
Connecting the appliance
to the power supply
q The socket should be easily
accessible (the best position is
above the high sided unit). Operate
the appliance only when installed.
q Connect the appliance to
220-240 V/ 50 Hz alternating
current via a correctly installed
earthed socket. The socket must
be fused with a 10 A fuse.
q For appliances being used in
non European countries, check
on the rating plate whether the
stated voltage and current type
correspond to the specifications
of your power supply.
The rating plate is located at the
bottom of the refrigerating zone
on the right hand side.
q In case the mains power cable
has to be changed it must only
be done by a qualified technician.
q The appliance must NEVER be
connected to power inverters
which convert direct current to
230 V alternating current (e.g.
solar power units, power supplies
on ships).
Switch the appliance ON
q Switch appliance ON:
Switch on master switch (Fig. x/1).
The appliance is working.
q On the display (Fig. v/8) the
set temperature in the tasting
compartment above is shown.
On the display (Fig. v/9) the set
temperature in the wine storage
compartment is shown.
By pressing the button
(button illuminates) the set
temperature in the tasting
compartment below is shown on
the display (Fig. v/8).
q The temperatures have been set
to +10 °C at the factory.
The set temperatures are reached
in an empty appliance after several
hours.
q The temperatures in the
compartments:
a) Wine storage compartment
b) Tasting compartment above
c) Tasting compartment below
if required can be set to colder or
warmer. (See chapter Switching
functions")
