Storage temperature
q Wine storage temperatures are ideal
between +10 °C to +17 °C and they
should be maintained as constant
as possible.
q In general terms:
The higher the temperature
the more quickly a wine will age.
However, the aging of a wine is
also dependent on other factors.
For example: on the state,
composition and quality of the wine,
the bottle top and the dampness in
the cellar.
Tempering
Tempering means that the
temperature in an area
(the tempering area):
a) Tasting compartment above or
b) Tasting compartment below or
c) Wine storage compartment
is slowly either raised or lowered
to bring the wine to the right
temperature for drinking.
Tempering process:
1 If possible, empty the area to be
tempered and set the room
temperature to the storage
temperature of the wine (see "Set
the temperature in ...." in the
chapter Switching functions).
2 Fetch the wine bottles from the
store to the tempered area.
3 Start the tempering process
separately for each area
(temperature can be set from +4 °C
to +21 °C):
a) Press button
-
Tasting compartment
above or
-
Tasting compartment
below or
-
Wine storage
compartment
for 3 seconds until a flashing
dot (.) appears in the display
v/8 or v/9.
b) Within 5 seconds press the
button
necessary until the desired final
temperature to be reached
appears in the display v/8
or v/9.
After that the program starts the
tempering process in the selected
area at a gentle cooling or warming
rate.
During tempering a dot (.)
continues to show in the display
v/8 or v/9.
During tempering the temperature of
the tempering compartment is
shown on the display v/8 or v/9
until the set final temperature is
reached.
