WIRING AND USE OF IMPEDANCE SELECTORS
DEFINITIONS
COLUMN A two-wire line leading from a pair of terminals of the power supply unit
to which the devices are connected.
EXTENSION A two-wire line leading from the DER terminals of the distributor to which
the devices are connected
END OF LINE The last device connected to a spine or extension
IMPEDANCE SWITCH Impedance to be included at the end of each line by means of a switch for
H -----L adapting a spine or an extension
IN-OUT CONNECTION Connection of devices by means of which the LINE terminals act at node
between the in wire and the out wire
The B-FAST system elements must be connected by means of a transmission network. For this reason, each
segment of the network must be adapted to the wire impedance for correct operation. The following aspects
must be taken into consideration:
• Use the type of wire indicated in the previous section only.
• In order for the wire to maintain its features, the minimum bending radius must not be lower than 10 times
the external diameter of the wire (approximately 7 cm).
• Remove the sheathing from the wire as little as possible to separate the two wires inside.
• Except from the terminals of the devices themselves, no electrical nodes for connecting devices are allowed.
Use an AV4005/005 video distributor for connecting a monitors as an extension on the riser column not
crossing the apartment.

• An impedance switch (SI) is present on the T-LINE bracket AV1423/011 for terminating the line is present
on each monitor. Set the impedance switch to the L position on all wired devices at the end of a line. Set
the switch to the H position for in-out connections.

POWER SUPPLY UNIT INSTALLATION
The power supply unit may be fi tted either on a DIN bar (10 modules, 18 mm) or to the wall by means of
bolts.

SYSTEM ACTIVATION

After wiring the devices, perform the following operations in the order shown.
1. Set the impedance switches.
2. Confi gure the devices by means of dip switches.
3. Switch on and check voltage.
4. Check for presence of video signal.
5. Check basic functions.
6. According to the required functions, program the door panels and/or the monitors.
SET THE IMPEDANCE SWITCHES
Refer to the previous section to correctly set the line impedance switches.
CONFIGURE THE DEVICES
DOOR PANEL CONFIGURATION
The GV door panel setting is 1. The value cannot be edited in any manner.
MONITOR CONFIGURATION
The monitors must be confi gured as follows.
USER: User code.
The user code must be set to USER 1 as shown in the following fi gure.
Any setting other than the one shown in the fi gure will prevent the system from working.
DER: Video doorphone code (if present).
the additional monitors need to be purchased separately.
