SYSTEM OPERATION

CALL AND BUSY MANAGEMENT
The system behaves as follows when a call is received:
The entire system switches to busy for the pick-up timeout (60 seconds) when a call from a door panel is
received. The busy state is extended for other two minutes (maximum conversation time) when the handset
is picked up. The system returns to stand-by mode when the conversation is ended either by hanging up or
when the timeout is reached.
The entire system switches to busy for the pick-up timeout (60 seconds) when a monitor switches a door
panel on. The busy state is extended for other two minutes (maximum conversation time) if the handset is
picked up. The system returns to stand-by mode when the conversation is ended either by hanging up or
when the timeout is reached.
All monitor extensions switch to busy for the pick-up timeout (60 seconds) when an intercom call is
established, if there are several monitors in the same system. The intercom call can only be interrupted from
call by door panel. The busy state of the other monitors is exceed by other ten minutes (maximum intercom
conversation time) when the monitor extension is picked up. The monitors return to stand-by mode when
the conversation is ended either by hanging up or when the timeout is reached. The conversation can be
interrupted at any time by a call from a door panel.
A fl oor call will not effect the busy state of the system.
DOOR PANEL FUNCTIONS
CALL MANAGEMENT
The door panel forwards the call and switches on the camera when the call button is pressed. The door panel
switches the camera off at the end of the conversation.
LOCK MANAGEMENT
The door panel has two capacitance discharge terminals for managing the lock (AP-, AP+). The lock is released
in the following cases:
Whenever the hall button is pressed (TA, GND terminals).
When a door open command is received from a monitor according to the operating mode ('free', 'privacy')
selected by the dip switch (FUN) in the door panel.
'Privacy': the door lock will be released when the door opener button of a monitor is pressed only if a
conversation with the door panel has been established or if the handset has not been picked up after
receiving a call (or door panel auto power-on).
x
'Free': the door lock can be released by pressing a monitor door opener button also if no communication has
been established.
x
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA AUTO POWER-ON FUNCTION
x
Either one single surveillance camera can be connected directly to the door panel (terminals V, S) or up to four
surveillance cameras can be connected using the AV4005/017 camera cycle unit controlled by terminals SW and
0. In this case, remember to connect the AN7429 power supply unit to the camera cycle module.
The door panel can be automatically switched on by pressing the specifi c button on the monitor (button •).
x
The surveillance camera feed only will appear on the monitor if the button is pressed repeatedly after auto
power-on. Pick up the handset to establish an audio and video communication with the door panel unit. The
surveillance camera cyclic auto power-on function must be enabled by means of the door panel dip switch (see
x
section on programming).
