Ensure the thread style of your frame's bottom bracket shell and Zipp bottom bracket match:
BSA for standard threading, or IT for Italian threading. Ensure the frame's bottom bracket
shell threads are clean and undamaged; there should be no paint or dirt present. Have your
bottom bracket shell chased and faced by a professional bicycle mechanic for best results.
important
The maximum frame bottom bracket shell width should be 68 mm for BSA threading, or 70
mm for Italian threading. If the bottom bracket shell is wider than prescribed, it must be
faced down to the maximum allowable width.

Apply a thin layer of grease to the bottom bracket cup threads.

Apply a thin layer of grease to the crank spindle surfaces indicated. Apply a thin layer of
grease to all surfaces of the aluminum spacers, steel washers, and wave spring.
