The operation of electrical appliance can appear dangerous because it implies the
powering of certain components.
Any intervention on installation or electric components must be carried out by
specialized electricians or qualified people under the direction and the monitoring
of electricians to follow the rules in force.
- It's necessary to remove the cover to connect the strips.
- Pull out the handle or the half ball indicator.
- Free the screws of the cover with a screwdriver, remove it.
- Free the gland and insert the feeding cable into the housing and connect as follows:

1. POWER AND REMOTE CONNECTING
- Realize the connection as followed :
ALTERNATING CURRENT/AC and DIRECT CURRENT/DC
Connect the earth on the faston
Connect - or the power supply phase in 18
Connect + or the power supply neutral in 17
2. AUXILIARY LIMIT SWITCHES SETTING (see page 21)
Caution : connect wiring in respect of the electrical standards, auxiliary limit switches
are powered by a very low voltage (<42V *).
3. SETTING OF ERG 1-2 CARD IF THERE IS ANY PROBLEM
We assume that the card is properly connected, the feedback potentiometer is in place, and the
limit switches are set. Disconnect the motor. Declutch the motor, turn the motor manually to the
"closed" position, there will be an audible "click" of the limit switch when the closed position is
reached. Set the potentiometer to the minimum stop & lock the 32 toothed gear by tightening the
grub screws. Increase the 4-20mA signal input to 20mA (power supply connected). Turn the ac-
tuator manually to the "open" position, again there will be and audible "click" of the limit switch
when the open position is reached. Return to de-clutch point. Settle the potentiometer marked
"Maxi" on the card (Item 4 on page 23). A feedback signal of 20mA on the output must be obtai-
ned at this point. Put the actuator back into Auto mode. Re-connect the motor (put the fuse back
into position). Give the actuator an input signal of 4mA. The motor will turn until the closed posi-
tion is met. When the motor stops, slightly loosen the grub screws of the 32 toothed gear and turn
it until the end position is met (just before the "click" of the limit switch). Tighten the grub screws.
You should at this point be getting an output feedback of 4mA. Now double check that the maxi
position is still correct.
To resume: For "Closed" position set the mini potentiometer which is found on the shaft.
For "Open" position set the maxi potentiometer which can be found on the card.
- Tighten the gland. Put the cover and tighten the screws of the cover.
- Put back the handle or the indicator on the shaft.
