4.0 Gebruik

Reddingsoperatie
―UITSLUITEND VOOR GEBRUIK IN GEVAL VAN
Het MightEvac reddingsmechanisme mag uitsluitend in geval
van nood worden gebruikt. Gebruik het niet voor routinematig hijsen van
OPMERKING: We adviseren om een aantal
meters leeflijn uit te trekken en vast te
houden voordat het reddingsmechanisme
in werking wordt gezet. Houd de leeflijn in
de reddingsfunctie steeds onder spanning.
Trek de pen van de zuiger eruit totdat het handvat
met ratelmechanisme naar buiten springt. Het
is misschien nodig om het handvat iets rond te
draaien om de interne aandrijvingen volledig in
te schakelen. De zuigerpen moet volledig in de
oorspronkelijke positie terugschieten wanneer
de aandrijvingen volledig zijn ingeschakeld. Het
toestel staat nu in de reddingsfunctie.
OPMERKING: De redding kan worden uit-
gevoerd door de betrokkene in veiligheid
te brengen door hem of haar op te hijsen
of te laten zakken.
OPHIJSEN: Houd de leeflijn steeds licht onder
spanning en draai het ratelhandvat linksom om de
leeflijn in de behuizing te trekken.
LATEN ZAKKEN: Om de leeflijn uit de behuizing
af te rollen (laten zakken) draait u het ratelhandvat
rechtsom. OPMERKING: Indien het interne rem-
mechanisme is geactiveerd, in het geval van een
valstop, dan moet u het handvat eerst een halve
tot een hele slag linksom draaien (optrekken) en
dan in omgekeerde richting draaien (rechtsom) zo-
dat de leeflijn daalt. [Om de leeflijn te laten dalen
is minimaal 34 kg (75 lb) vereist.]
WAARSCHUWING: Controleer, wanneer u het toestel omzet van de vergrendelingsfunctie naar
de reddingsfunctie, altijd of de zuigerpen volledig in de vergrendelde stand is teruggekeerd.
Gebruik het toestel niet wanneer het de last in de reddingsfunctie niet kan dragen.
Gebruik van de automatisch vergrendelende leeflijn
Om het toestel weer in de vergrendelingsfunctie terug te zetten, neemt u de wartel van de leeflijn en zet
u het einde van de leeflijn, zodra dat terug wordt getrokken wanneer de interne aandrijving is uitge-
schakeld, vast. Trek de zuigerpen eruit en houd deze vast. Duw het ratelhandvat naar binnen. Daar
maakt het contact met de aandrijvingsas waardoor de aandrijving wordt uitgeschakeld en laat de pen in
de vergrendelde stand terugvallen.

• Always use and inspect unit in accordance

• Always connect the hook directly to
attachment point on harness.
• Guard against swing falls by keeping the
lifeline vertically overhead. Never work
above the device.
• Keep user and other workers from becoming
entangled in lifeline.
• Do not allow lifeline to drag over
obstructions.
• Never clamp off or stand on the lifeline.

injury or death. Only for use by ONE person as a personal fall arrester. Device must be taken out of service for inspection and recertification
after arresting a fall or when the impact indicator has been activated. Contact Miller Fall Protection if instruction manual is needed.

• Do not allow the lifeline to become slack.
• Do not allow cable, rope or webbing
lifelines to come in contact with anything
that will damage the lifeline including, but
not limited to, sharp, abrasive, rough or
high-temperature surfaces, welding, heat
sources, electrical hazards, or moving
machinery.
• Wear gloves when inspecting or handling
cable lifelines.
• Check lifeline for damage, frays, or cuts that
will reduce the strength.
• Maintain tension on the lifeline while letting
it retract after disconnecting from worker.
• Servicing must only be performed by the
manufacturer or an approved agent.
