Please read your parachute manual and make note of the required repacking inter-
vals. If the parachute becomes too hot, is exposed to mechanical stress or beco-
mes damp/wet it should be immediately aired and repacked.

Airbag care and maintenance

It is essential to open (unzip) the Scoop Protector before pa-
cking the harness. This prevents damage which could cause
a reduced air intake. The Scoop Protector must be closed
(zipped up) before every flight. Failing to do this means the
airbag will not be fully inflated and its usefulness will be li-
mited.
After a hard landing, the airbag should be checked by an ex-
pert (NOVA Service Partner). Sharp items, for example bar-
bed wire, may also damage the airbag.
In case of longer term storage, we recommend taking the harness out of the ruck-
sack and storing it loosely with the seat plate pointing down (i.e. turning the har-
ness upside down). This helps to maintain the longevity of the foam protection.

Inspection

Every 24 months (two years) or every 150 hours, the harness must have a
NOVA Full Service. During the service, the entire harness will be checked
for possible damage.
You can locate NOVA Full Service partners here: www.nova.eu/en/try-buy/

Repairs

Please do not attempt repairs on your harness. Repairs should only be performed
by an authorised service centre.

Additional information

• The carabiners must be replaced after 1500 flying hours or five years (whichever
comes first)
• The Abrasion Protector is replaceable. This means any evidence of a hard landing
can be removed.

Disposal

The synthetic materials used in the construction of a harness should be respon-
sibly disposed of. When you wish to dispose of your harness, please return it to
NOVA or to your local NOVA partner, where it will be dismantled into its individual
components and properly disposed of.
