Close the tube container

If the parachute fits well, thread a short length of paraglider line through the yel-
low loop, which can be found on the lowest leaf. Next, thread the paraglider line
through the opposite leaf, followed by the right hand one. Then pull the paraglider
line to draw the yellow loop through the eyelets. Next, push the closing pin through
the yellow loop. In the case of a parachute deployment, the plastic triangle on the
deployment handle facilitates the rapid opening of the zip. It must be situated out-
side the tube container, i.e. between the tube container and the back shell, parallel
to the zip.
Once the tube container is closed, deployment of the parachute must be tested.
Leave the piece of glider line in the yellow loop and pull the deployment handle. If
the instructions were followed closely and everything was fitted perfectly, then
the closing pin will release and the parachute can be pulled out of the tube cont-
ainer with very little effort. The required force must not exceed seven (7) daN.
If the required force is higher, then the parachute may be too large or the tube
container size is set too small. If the closing pin does not release, then the correct
sequence of the leaves should be checked. If in doubt, contact a NOVA Service
Partner, dealer or parachute repacker.
After the deployment test, the tube container must be closed again using the same
sequence described above and the piece of paraglider line must then be carefully
and slowly drawn out of the loop. The red parachute connecting tapes which lead
to the shoulder attachments, as well as the blue loop of the parachute handle, will
protrude from the container.
Fasten the zip

The tube container is enclosed by the airbag and the outer skin of the harness
protects it from external damage. Attach the deployment handle to the Velcro and
then thread pieces of paraglider line through the two yellow loops.
The zip should then be closed. Please note: until the loops are secured, the zip
will only have limited resistance. Handle the harness with care when securing the
loops.
