Operation
Technical features
Abrasion Protector
Landing on your posterior can lead to
scratches and dirt on the bottom of your
harness which can be difficult or impossib-
le to remove. The Abrasion Protector is a
replaceable bottom panel made from lorry
tarpaulin fabric which can be easily remo-
ved, cleaned or replaced. In minutes, any
evidence of an untidy landing is removed.
Scoop Protector
The scoop is critical for the rapid inflation
of the airbag. When the harness is packed
into the rucksack there is a risk that this
scoop could be damaged. This has a negative impact on the airbag's inflation – in an
extreme case the airbag may not inflate and the pilot is left without back protection.
The Scoop Protector is a zip, which, when open, allows the scoop to lie flat against
the harness. The scoop is made from plastic which is susceptible to deformation.
The Scoop Protector allows the harness to be safely stored in the rucksack. This
means that the scoop and airbag are protected from the effects of transport, wear
and tear.
Important: please ensure that the Scoop Protector zip is closed before every flight.
And open it before packing away the harness.

Chest strap padding
To protect against wear during ground-
handling, we have fitted the chest
strap with padding. When closing the
buckles, the right strap must be threa-
ded under the tape..
A piece of Velcro on the shoulder strap
permits easy attachment of a mini-va-
rio or SPOT device.
A small storage compartment is situa-
ted above the airbag. The main storage
compartment is behind the Abrasion
Protector.
A radio pocket is fitted to the chest
strap.
A handy pouch can be used to store a
camera or muesli bars – it is within easy
reach and secured with a zip.
