the engine and cutting attachment are completely stopped. Disconnect the spark plug
wire before performing service or maintenance work.
WARNING! Non-standard parts may not operate properly with your unit and may cause damages
and lead to personal injury.
6.2- 10/15-hour maintenance
Lubricate the cutter assembly gearbox by pumping one or two strokes of lithium-base grease into the
grease fitting using a lever-type grease gun. See Fig.HT14
CAUTION! Over-lubricating can cause the gearcase to operate sluggishly and can cause grease to
leak out.
6.3- 50-Hour Maintenance
Every 50 hours of operation (more frequently in dusty or dirty conditions):
1. Remove and clean the cylinder cover and clean the dirt and debris from the cylinder cooling fins.
2. Lubricate the gearcase. To perform this operation, first remove the gearcase from the outer tube
(See Fig.HT15)

VII. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before any intervention on product, ensure that motor is off.
7.1- General Product Maintenance
Clean plastic parts with a soft clean cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleansers (solvents or abrasive cleansers), or an abrasive sponge or sharp
objects.
Do not put or immerse product in water or any other liquid.
7.2- Long Term Storage
Product must be stored in a dry location. Always lock up product and keep out of reach of children
Whenever the machine will not be used for 30 days or longer, use the following procedures to prepare
it for storage:
1. Clean external pans thoroughly and apply a light coating of oil to all metal surfaces.
CAUTION! Gasoline stored in the carburetor for extended periods can cause hard starting, and
could also lead to increased service and maintenance costs.
2. Drain all the fuel from the carburetor and the fuel tank.
IMPORTANT! All stored fuel should be stabilized with a fuel stabilizer.
