Installing FrostControl (safety/drain valve)

FrostControl must be installed in the immediate vicinity of the
unit in the heated room in a position that the user can easily
access. Make sure that rotary switch (4b) and push button (4c)
can still be operated.
Drain directly to the outside at a position protected against
splash water (apply splash guard, if necessary).

Drill a hole (18 mm diameter) in the floor of the vehicle. Attach
drain tube (4a) to drain connection, insert both through the
floor and route outside. Seal gap between drain hose and hole
with plastic body sealant from below. Fasten FrostControl with
two screws B 5.5 x 25 (included with delivery).

Top-up container installation

Position the top-up container (5) close to the FrostControl in a
vertical mounting position (in the interior of the vehicle).
The upper edge of the container must be installed at least at
the same level as the device.
Ensure that the screw cover can be unscrewed to top up the
deionised water.
Attach top-up container with bracket and 2 screws (B 3.5 x 13).
Attach the „Only top up with deionised water" warning sign
next to the top-up container.

Water hose routing

Route the water hoses (tension free) from the top-up contain-
er to the FrostControl and to the fuel cell system.
Attach the hoses (3) to the top-up container connection and
the elbow fitting (1) using hose clips (2).
Slide the elbow fitting (1) onto the device as far as it will go.
Pull in opposite direction to check that the elbow fitting is
securely attached.

Touch Panel installation

Only 1 Touch Panel per installed fuel cell system can be
connected.
Install device in a location that is protected from moisture and
humidity.
Make an installation opening for the Touch Panel.

All dimensions in mm.
Attach control panel cable to connector (1). The cable outlet
can be on the side or on top. Place the cable for strain relief
into the cable ducts.

Slide the cable though the opening and route to the fuel cell.
Attach the Touch Panel with 4 screws (2.9 x 19) (max. torque
1 Nm).
Push the Touch Panel frame onto the Touch Panel until it
engages.
