To achieve this, increase or decrease the length of the top bar of
the hitch (B fi g.47) so as to set the axis (X fi g.47) of the housing's
grooved ring nut parallel to the ground.
Inspections at work:
- The two angles (α fi g.47) formed by the fork axes and the axis
of the sliding tubes will be equal and must not exceed 10°.
- The sliding tubes (C fi g.47) must overlap by at least 15 cm
(fi g.48).
Inspections in the raised position:
- Proceed with a lifting action (tractor PTO disengaged).
- The two tubes of the driveline shaft must not fully overlap. There
must always be a safety travel (D fi g.47) of at least 4 cm.
- The angles (α fi g.47) of the drivelines must not exceed 40°
(fi g.47).
If these two results are not obtained:
- Shorten the sliding tubes by the same extent (fi g.49 and fi g.50),
deburr and trim (fi g.51), then grease the inside of the outer tube
(fi g.52).
- Make sure that the upper hitch bar is as parallel as possible to
the lower bars of the hitch.
If this is not suffi cient, correct the way the top link of the hitch cou-
ples to the tractor or machine, as necessary, or at least consider-
ably attenuate, the jolts to which the driveline shaft is subjected
during the lifting phase.
- If errors have been committed, disengage the tractor's PTO
before lifting the machine.
Repeat these inspections when the machine is hitched behind
another tractor.
CAUTION
When the cardan shaft is fully extended, the two tubes must
overlap by at least 15 cm.
When fully inserted, the minimum play must be 4 cm. (fi g.48).
CAUTION
If the implement is used on another tractor, always check the
before and that the guards copletely cover the rotating parts
of the cardan shaft.
Adjusting the cardan shaft with clutch
The cardan shaft can be equipped with safety clutch to protect
the transmission components of the machine from stress and/or
excessive overloads. The tilt of the cardan shaft must not exceed
10 degrees (fi g.4).
The clutch is already pre-adjusted for average stress. If it slips too
easily (and overheats), it will be necessary to evenly tighten all the
nuts (1 fi g.53) that retain the springs.
If the supplied cardan shaft has a bolt-locked hub (2 fi g.53), check
that these bolts are fully tightened.
CAUTION
The clutch disks must be changed if the clutch still slips after
all the nuts have been tightened.
If the clutch does not slip, evenly unscrew all the spring fi xing nuts
(1 fi g.53). Unscrew one turn at a time and check the clutch after
having worked about 300 meters.
