Specifications for design category C:
Category C: The craft has been designed for voyages where conditions up to
and including wind force 6 (Beaufort scale) may be experienced (wind force of
approximately 14 m/s, significant wave height of up to 2 m and temporary peak
wave height of 4 m). These conditions may be experienced during voyages on large
lakes, estuaries and coastal waters in moderate weather conditions.
Specifications for design category D:
Category D: The craft has been designed for voyages where conditions up to
and including wind force 4 (Beaufort scale) may be experienced (wind force of
approximately 8 m/s, significant wave height of up to 0.3 m and temporary peak
wave height of 0.5 m). These conditions may be experienced inshore and in coastal
waters in fair weather conditions.

Boat dimensions, including length, beam, draught, gross weight and fuel tank
capacity are specified in Appendix 1 (Technical specifications).
Builder's plate:
Mounted near the steering console, the builder's plate contains some of the
information specified above. Detailed information that supplements the information
provided on the plate is given in the relevant sections of this manual.
