Stability and buoyancy

The stability of Buster boats is excellent thanks to their hull shape and balanced
mass distribution. You should bear in mind, however, that large breaking waves are
always a risk to the stability of the craft.
Please also note that any load placed above the floor level reduces the boat's stability
and may increase the risk of capsizing. Placing loads on the roof of the cabin (in
models with a cabin) is prohibited without exception. Any change in the distribution of
mass may affect the boat's stability, design trim and performance significantly. Please
contact the builder if you are planning to make modifications that change the craft's
mass distribution. In models with a cabin, the original interior arrangement and mass
distribution may not be altered without the builder's authorisation.
The amount of water in the bilge should always be kept at a minimum as freely
moving water always reduces stability.
Also bear in mind that towing or being towed may decrease the stability of the craft.
Buster models XXL, XL, XL Pro, X, Lx, Lx Pro, L, M, S, Scc, XS, XSr and Mini are
equipped with floats that carry the load specified in section 5.4 even if the craft is flooded.

Engines and fuel systems

Buster models Magnum Pro, Super Magnum, Magnum, Cabin, XXL, XL, XL Pro, X,
Lx and Lx Pro have a fixed fuel tank installed in the bilge approximately 1 metre from
the transom. Buster models L, M, S, Scc, XSr, XS and Mini have detachable fuel
tanks. Stop the engine and extinguish any naked flames and cigarettes before filling
the fuel tank. Do not operate any electrical equipment while filling the fuel tank.
In models with a fixed fuel tank, the filler cap (
In Buster models Cabin, X, Lx and Lx Pro, the filler cap is visible. In other models, it
is located beneath a lockable rope box lid. Detachable tanks must be removed from
the boat for filling to prevent fuel from spilling into the bilge in case of overfill.
If you refuel your boat at a petrol station, do not use a plastic funnel that prevents the
static charge between the pistol and the filler plug from discharging. After filling the tank,
make sure no fuel has leaked into the bilge or the engine compartment and clean any
spilled fuel immediately (see Fuel tank volume; Appendix 1: Technical specifications).
Buster models L, M, S, Scc, XS, XSr and Mini can accommodate a detachable
fuel tank under the rear seat. Buster models L and M can accommodate two
tanks and the other models can accommodate one. Do not store spare tanks in
unventilated spaces or unsecured. Equipment that contains fuel may only be stored
in compartments designed for the purpose.
Check the fuel lines annually for wear and tear. The locations of fuel system
components are presented in Appendix 2.
) is located on the right rear deck.
