Check the fuel lines annually for wear and tear. The locations of fuel system
components are presented in Appendix 2.
5.7.2
Fire-fighting and fire protection
Buster models Magnum Pro, Magnum, XXL, Cabin, XL, XL Pro, X, Lx, Lx Pro, L and
M are equipped with category 32A 68B powder fire extinguishers (2 kg) described in
Appendix 2. The extinguisher is located in the left-side bow storage container. The
location of the extinguisher is indicated by a symbol visible in the cockpit. In Buster
Cabin, the fire extinguisher is located in the cabin in the left-side bow stowage box.
All portable fire extinguishers must be serviced annually. Fire extinguishers older
than 10 years must also pass a pressure test. If the original fire extinguisher is
replaced, the minimum extinguishing capacity of the new extinguisher must be 8A
68B.
The boat's owner/operator must ensure the boat is equipped with a minimum of one
fire bucket with unobstructed access and a rope attached.
Always ensure that all fire-fighting equipment is easily accessible, also when the
boat is loaded. Advise all crew members of the location and correct operation of the
fire-fighting equipment.
Make sure that no fuel spills into the bilge and check the boat for fuel leaks at
regular intervals. The odour of petrol is a clear sign of a fuel leak.
Never do the following:
• Obstruct access to safety equipment, such as the fire extinguisher or the
main switch of the electrical system. Forget to unlock the padlock of the
bow stowage box that contains the fire extinguisher when using the boat.
• Cover the ventilation openings of the boat designed for the ventilation of
fuel fumes.
• Alter the boat's electrical or fuel systems or allow an unqualified person to
modify any of the boat's systems.
• Remove the fuel line from a detachable tank while the engine is running
(e.g. to change the tank).
• Fill the fuel tank or handle fuel when the engine is running.
• Smoke, use a naked flame or operate any electrical equipment when
handling fuel.
5.8 Electrical system
The wiring diagrams of the electrical system are shown in Appendix 3.
In Buster models XSR, S, Scc and M the main switch is located in the rear seat
wall on the left side of the boat. In Buster models L, Lx and Lx Pro the main switch
is located inside the rear seat on the left side of the boat. In Buster models X, XL,
XL Pro, XXL, Magnum and Magnum Pro the main switch or switches are located
in the rear wall of the cockpit on the left side of the boat next to the rear seat.
