5.6.1
Openings in hull and deck
The locations of through holes, plugs and shut-off valves are presented in
Appendix 2.
Buster models Magnum Pro, Magnum, XXL, XL, XL Pro and X have two drain holes
to drain rain water from the cockpit. Buster models Lx, Lx Pro, L and M have one
drain hole. The Buster Cabin has two drain holes in the bow section and two in
the aft.
In Buster Cabin, the shut-off valves are located in the rear corners of the boat and
are accessed through the service hatches in the rear corners of the aft section. The
open bow section of the Buster Cabin has no shut-off valves as the floor level is so
high it never reaches the waterline under normal circumstances.
The drain holes must be shut off if intake of water is discovered from the holes
when loading the boat. In all other circumstances the drain holes must be open.
Remove all deposits from the drain holes regularly to avoid blocking. The cockpit of
the Buster M is automatically drained of rain water only when the boat is unloaded.
The drain hole of the Buster M must always be shut off when boarding the boat. In
Buster models S, XS and Mini the water flows from the cockpit to the bilge and can
be removed using the bilge pump (Buster S / XS), a bailer (Buster Mini) or through
the rear plug when docked. All Buster models have a screw cap in the bottom
corner of the transom for draining water from the boat when docked or on a trailer.
5.6.2
Bilge pumps and draining
Draining equipment and their locations are presented in Figure 2. Bilge pumps and/
or the ends of suction tubes are located as close to the bottom plate as possible.
It is, however, natural that the bilge always contains a small quantity of water that
the bilge pump cannot remove. The drain hole is located on the right side of the
transom.
