5.8.1
Two-battery system (Cabin, Magnum Pro)
Buster Cabin is equipped with a one- or two-battery electrical system. The battery,
the main switch and the fuse panel are located in the battery enclosure in the left
side of the rear section.
The double battery system uses two batteries. The primary battery is principally
used as the starter battery, while the second battery is used to supply power when
the engine is turned off and no recharging current is available. Both batteries
have a separate main switch that is used to connect the batteries to the boat's
electrical system or disconnect them from it. The battery is switched off when the
switch is in the OFF position. When the boat's engine is started and is running, it
is recommended that both switches be kept in the ON position. The charging relay
ensures both batteries are recharged while the engine runs. When you want to use
the electrical system of the boat with the engine not running, the starter battery
should be disconnected from the system by turning the main switch of the battery to
the OFF position.
When purchasing or replacing batteries it is recommended that the primary battery
is a starter battery able to produce high current. The second battery should be a
deep cycle battery with high energy density, such as an AGM, gel or lithium-ion
battery.
