 indicates the "R" sybol. If for two phases the
rotation is anti-clockwise, no sybol appears on
the LC display.
The phase-sequence test always requires a counter-
test! If the LC display  indicates clockwise rotation
for two phases of a three-phase ains, those two
.
phases ust be contacted again with reersed contact
electrodes  during the counter-test. There ust
be no sybol indicated on the LC display during the
counter-test. If in both cases the LC display indicates
the „R" sybol, the earthing is too weak or the
batteries are epty.

How to test an electrically conductive
connection (continuity check)
-
The continuity check ust be perfored on
the releant points of a "dead" (not being
under oltage) unit under test. If necessary, the
capacitors ust be discharged.
-
The necessary test oltage is supplied by eans
of the power supply (2 x 1.5 V batteries) integrated

connection with the contact electrodes , the
oltage tester gies an acoustic signal and the
signaling LED  lights up.
8.
Battery replacement
Do not set the oltage tester under oltage with the
battery copartent being open!
The energy supply for the phase-sequence indication,
illuination and continuity check of the DOL
expert is done by eans of two built-in icro batteries
(LR03/ AAA). Battery replaceent is necessary as
and L2
soon as illuination does not work anyore. In this
case, the battery oltage is below 2.2 V.
How to replace the batteries:
Take a screw drier and open the battery
copartent (next to the cable outlet) by a
¼-turn in direction of the arrow (counter-clockwise).
The slot is now ertical and the battery copartent
with the batteries can be removed.
Reoe the discharged batteries fro the battery
copartent. Insert the new batteries with correct
and
of
polarity (see arking) into the battery copartent.
ut the battery copartent with the batteries back
onto the handle and lock it by ¼-turn in clockwise
direction (slot ust be horizontal and the arking
points are opposite!). Make sure not to daage the O
ring. If necessary, it has to be replaced.
.
Battery disposal:
Do not dispose of batteries with the household
.
garbage. You as a consuer are legally obliged to
return used batteries. You can return used batteries
and L2
to public collection facilities in your counity area
or return the to any retail outlet selling siilar
batteries. Aoid using batteries containing dangerous
substances!

10. General maintenance:
Clean the exterior of the housing with a clean dry
cloth (exception: special cleansing cloths). Do not use
solents and/ or abrasies to clean the oltage tester.
Make sure not to containate the battery copartent
and the battery contacts with leaking battery
electrolyte. hould such electrolyte containation or

white deposits occur near the battery or the battery
housing, these ust also be reoed with a dry cloth.
In case of wear or daaging of the O ring of the
battery copartent, the oltage tester does not
coply with the indicated protection class anyore
(protection against dust and water). In this case, the O
ring ust be replaced.
The O ring can be ordered under the BENNIN piece
nuber 772897. Moisten a new O ring with glyzerin or
talcu so that the battery copartent can be locked
and unlocked easily.
