Do not put any objects in or through the
housing openings, and also make sure
that children cannot insert any objects
in them.
Do not continue to cook if there are
cracks in the glass ceramic hob. Water
that runs through cracks inside the glass
ceramic hob may be live! If there are visi-
ble cracks on your glass ceramic hob, dis-
connect the hob from the mains (switch
off and/or unscrew fuse). Contact our
customer service (see page GB-18).
Risks to children
Risk of suffocation!
Do not allow children to play with the
packaging fi lm. They may get caught in
it and suffocate.
Risk of burns!
Do not leave pot/pan handles sticking
out over the edge of the worktop; this
ensures children cannot reach up and
pull down the cookware.
Arrange the mains cord out of reach of
children; this ensures the hob cannot be
pulled down.
CAUTION
Risks for certain groups of people
Danger to children and persons with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental abilities
(for example, people with disabilities to
some extent, older persons with impaired
physical and mental abilities) or who lack
experience and knowledge (for example
older children)!
This appliance can be used by children
aged 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal abilities, or who lack experience and/

or knowledge, if they are supervised or
have been instructed in using the appli-
ance safely and understand the dangers
associated with its use.
Children may not play with the appli-
ance and may not have unsupervised
access to the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance by the user
may not be carried out by children unless
they are supervised.

Risks in handling the appliance

Fire hazard!
The induction hob heats oil or fat very
quickly. Extremely hot oil or fat can self-ig-
nite.
When heating oil or fat ensure that the
temperature remains below the smoking
point.
If food is prepared in oil, in fat or with
alcohol, do not leave the hob unsuper-
vised!
For pan fi res:
Cover with pan lid immediately!
Never extinguish burning oil or fat
with water!
Disconnect the mains plug immediately
in the event of a fi re. To extinguish the
fi re, use a suitable fi re extinguisher with
the designation 'F' or a fi re blanket.
After the fi re has been extinguished,
have the appliance inspected by our cus-
tomer service (see „Our Customer Ser-
vice" on page GB-18).
Incorrect use of the hob can lead to fi re.
Never fl ambé under an extractor hood.
Otherwise the grease fi lter in the extrac-
tor hood may also catch fi re.
Only hob grilles or hob covers made by
the hob manufacturer, approved grilles
or covers which are listed in the user
manual, or pre-installed protective hob
