Problem
The hob cannot be
switched on; the display
is blank.
The sensors do not re-
act.
The sensors respond
poorly.
Fissures or cracks in the
hob.
The cookware does not
heat up and the mes-
sage ' ' appears on the
display.
The cookware makes
a crackling or whirring
noise.
The cookware emits a
whistling sound when on
a high heat setting.
Fan noise
The hob switches off au-
tomatically.
Possible causes
The power supply has
been interrupted.
The button lock is activat-
ed.
There is a film of water
over the sensors.
You are not touching the
sensors with you entire
fingertip.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock and short circuit!
Disconnect the mains plug immediately and stop using the hob.
The cookware is not rec-
ognised because it is not
suitable for induction hobs.
The cookware is too small
or is not centred on the
cooking zone.
These noises are related
to the design and do not
constitute a defect.
The hob fan is running
when a cooking zone is
switched on. It continues
to run for a while after
switch-off.
The timer was activated.
Solutions/tips
Check whether the socket has power and
whether the mains plug is properly plugged into
the socket.
Switch the button lock off (see „Button lock" on
page GB-12).
Clean and dry the sensor field.
Always touch the sensors with your entire fin-
gertip, not just the very end of the finger.
Only use suitable cookware (see „The right
cookware" on page GB-10).
Only use cookware with a diameter of at least
14 cm and place it in the centre of the cooking
zone.
No measures required
Only disconnect the mains plug once the fan
has stopped.
