Cooking zones and sensors

Using a pot that is slightly larger than the
cooking zone will allow you to achieve the
most efficient use of energy.
d2
d1
– The d1 diameter is always provided as a
pan and pot size. d2 base diameter is al-
ways around 2 cm smaller.
– As soon as the pot is removed, the cook-
ing zone shuts itself off and the " " symbol
appears on the hob display instead of the
heat setting.
The appliance has four cooking zones. A sen-
sor in the sensor field (5) is assigned to each
cooking zone.
• You can use the slider sensor (10) to in-
crease or reduce the heat of the respec-
tive cooking zone.
Each time the sensor is touched, an acous-
tic signal can be heard.
The sensors must be clean and may
not be covered by objects.
When activating the sensors, always
use the entire fingertip and not just the very
end of the finger. The sensors and your fin-
ger must be clean and dry for the sensors to
react appropriately.
Each time the sensor registers a touch, you
will hear an acoustic signal.

Pot recognition

Pot recognition is installed in the cooking
zones. Pot recognition ensures that the cook-
ing zones will be activated only if there is a pot
with a ferromagnetic base or another object
made of the same kind of metal located there.
The cooking zone becomes inactive as soon
as the pot or the magnetic object is removed.

Setting the cooking zone

1. Place a suitable pot or pan on the desired
cooking zone.
2. Make sure that the bottom of the cook-
ware and the cooking zone are clean and
dry.
3. Press the sensor for the cooking zone
that you wish to use.
The heat setting next to the selected sen-
sor will illuminate and flash (in this case, "
will be shown, meaning no heating power).
