ChECK ThE lEvEl

Hold the vehicle upright.
With the engine cold, remove the inspection
screw 1 and make sure that the oil touches
the bottom edge of the thread. If the level
is lower than prescribed:
- remove the filler cap 2;
- top up until the condition indicated above
is achieved.
When the operation is over, apply the
screws 1 and 2.
Tighten the screws to the prescribed torque
values.

REplaCEmENT

Always perform the replacement when
engine is hot:
- Position the drive on a flat base ensuring
stability.
- Place a container under the engine.
WARNING:
Hot oil can cause severe burns!
- Unscrew filler plug 2 and drain plug 3.
- Drain all the oil from the crankcase.
- Close plug 3.
Pour in the quantity of liquid indicated on
page 14.
Use the liquid indicated on page 18 in
the "Recommended lubricants and liquids"
table.
Screw on filler cap 2 again.
WARNING:
Dispose of used oil in compliance with
standards in force and in the specific col-
lection areas.
