ChECKS BEfORE aNd afTER uSE

For safe driving and long vehicle life you should:
Check all fluid levels.
Check the correct operation of the brakes and brake pad wear (page 38
and page 41).
Check pressure, general condition and thickness of tread (page 14).
• Check that the spokes are properly tightened.
• Check the chain tension (page 45).
Check the adjustment and the operation of all the cable controls.
Inspect the tightening of all the nuts and bolts.
• Wash the motorcycle thoroughly after off-road use (page 46).

BREaKiNG iN

The breaking-in period lasts 3 hours, during which it is advisable to:
• Avoid travelling at constant speed.
• Avoid turning the throttle more than 3/4 of the way.
WARNING:
Change gearbox oil when the running-in stage has finished.
This procedure should be followed each time piston, piston rings, cylinder, crankshaft or
crankshaft bearings are replaced.

Hold the vehicle upright to attach the stand
and insert the stand in the proper slot.
The stand is dimensioned to sustain the
weight of the vehicle. Overloading it could
entail a potential hazardous condition.
