Introduction

These Operating Instructions describe the basic steps for assembly, connection, and commissioning. These
Operating Instructions do not replace the Manual for the positioner SIPART PS2 FF. The Manual contains more
detailed information about assembly, function, and operation.
The operating instructions are a constituent part of the enclosed CD "sitrans ps2 POSITIONERS" (order number

Assembly

3.1

General

In areas where a potentially explosive atmosphere can arise, the positioner can only be used in a
closed housing with built in, approved electronics, supplied with electrical auxiliary power.
WARNING
!
Since the maximum values of normal operation may be violated in the event of a fault when using
the positioner and its options in zone 2, the EEx n device and its options must never be used again
subsequently in zone 1.
