The two joints are intended for fur-
ther adjustment of the head rest�
They enable perfect positioning of
the patient's head� The joints are
able to be adjusted individually by
turning the two clamping levers
(2 + 3) two revolutions each� Then
re-tighten the two clamping levers�
If it is also necessary to adjust the
inclination of the head rest, then
loosen the individual retaining
screw (5) with the Allen wrench
(size 4) and set the inclination angle�
To wash the head rest cover, com-
pletely remove the uppermost joint from the support bar (using the Allen wrench
[size 4]), then unzip the zipper and remove the head rest cover by pulling it up
and over the support bar� Replace the head rest cover after washing it by pull-
ing it over the support bar and onto the head rest cushion, zip the zipper closed
and secure the head rest back on the support bar (using Allen wrench [size 4])�

10.9 Hip belt
The standard equipment supplied
with the MAGICLIGHT includes
a 4-point hip belt (Fig� 16) with a
unisex neoprene cushion (1)� Once
the hip belt has been adjusted to
the patient secure the belt with the
buckle and tighten with one hand
using the belt eyelets� This enables
the operator to support the patient
with the other hand� The hip belt
can be unbuckled by pressing on
the red button (2) on the buckle�
