e) Connecting the Driving Battery to the Speed Controller

First switch off the speed controller. The on/off
switch must be in the "OFF" position for this.
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 8. b)
and c).
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels
Now connect the driving battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable =
minus/-).

f) Switching on the Speed Controller

Put the on/off switch of the speed controller (see chapter 8. e) into the "ON" position. Then wait for a few seconds
(leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
If the drive of the vehicle starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then
adjust the trim on the transmitter until the engine stops. If the trimming path is insufficient, the neutral
position must be programmed, see chapter 10. a).
Now check the drive and steering function of the vehicle.
For programming the speed controller, please observe chapter 10.
Chapter 10. a) describes how the neutral and full throttle positions for forward and reverse driving must be
set. This should be done at first start-up if the steering servo does react correctly but the vehicle's engine
does not start.
Chapter 10. b) describes the other programming possibilities for the speed controller (e.g. battery type,
braking function, etc.).
Important!
Before the first drive of the vehicle, the battery type used must be programmed. Only then can may
you drive the vehicle.
Otherwise, a LiPo battery may be subject to deep discharge, which will damage it.
