d) Inserting the Driving Battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The driving battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 8. b) and c).
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively suitable for use with NiMH rechargeable batteries with 6 cells (rated voltage 7.2
V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed control-
ler. Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
The speed controller installed in the vehicle can generally also be operated with a 2-cell LiPo battery
(rated voltage 7.4 V), but it has no undervoltage recognition function! This may lead to deep discharge of
the LiPo battery and damage it.
Loosen the two hook and loop tapes at the battery holder. Place the driving battery into the battery holder and fasten
it with the two hook and loop tapes. Tighten the hook and loop tapes so that the driving battery cannot move in the
battery holder.

e) Connecting the Driving Battery to the Speed Controller

First switch off the speed controller. Put the On/
Off switch (see arrow in the figure to the right)
into the "OFF" position for this.
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 8. b)
and c)).
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels
Now connect the driving battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable =
minus/-).
