Once you have put your telephone into operation and configured it, check this section on
operation and configuration for additional useful information.

Querying the Firmware Version/Serial Number

1.
Press the menu key.
2.
Tap on information.
3.
Scroll to the selection version.
4.
Scroll to the selection serial number.

Performing a Firmware Update

Important: Only available for operation on the PBXs COMpact 3000
analog/ISDN/VoIP, COMpact 4000, COMpact 5000/R, COMpact 5010
VoIP, COMpact 5020 VoIP, COMmander 6000/R/RX, COMmander
Basic.2/19" and COMmander Business/19". On the other PBXs a manual
firmware update can be performed instead.
Requirements
– The PBX connected to broadband Internet access
– The address of the update server configured in the PBX
– A DNS server and, if necessary, an HTTP proxy server configured in the
PBX

Press the menu key.
2.
Tap successively on settings > synchronisation > firmware update.
3.
Confirm the message:



Appendix
The firmware versions of the telephone and the PBX are displayed.
The serial number of the telephone is displayed.
The firmware update is performed. After this, a message appears in the
display indicating whether the update was successful.
Comfortel 1600: Tap on
Comfortel 2600: Tap on OK.
