Digital Output; Channels; Reference; Date - Consort C832 Anleitung

A standard RS232 output terminal (DP9) is provided for interfacing the instru-
ment with a printer or computer. Data is sent in the ASCII code at a BAUD rate
of 150...4800 bps (8 bit, no parity, 1 stopbit).
Serial port pinout specifications:
pin 1 : connected to pin 4 and pin 6
pin 2 : TxD, transmit data
pin 3 : RxD, receive data
pin 4 : connected to pin 1 and pin 6
pin 5 : Gnd, signal ground
pin 6 : connected to pin 1 and pin 4
pin 7 : connected to pin 8
pin 8 : connected to pin 7
pin 9 : not connected
(C831, C832, C833, C835)
1. Press SET until the display shows [SEt CHAn] and press CAL.
2. The display shows [CH1=PH], [CH1=MV], [CH1=Cn] or [CH1=OFF]. Select the
desired mode for channel-1 and press CAL.
3. The display shows [CH2=PH], [CH2=MV], [CH2=Cn], [CH2=MG.L] [CH2=%] or
[CH2=OFF]. Select the desired mode for channel-2 and press CAL.
4. Go on in the same way with all next channels by repeating the procedure from
point 2. Always press CAL.
5. C832, C833: this step is skipped unless channel-1 and channel-2 have been
programmed for the same mode (pH or mV). The display shows [dpH=on] or
[dmV=on], [dpH=OFF] or [dmV=OFF]. Select the desired mode and press CAL.
Mode dpH/dmV permits to read the difference between both channels.
6. The display shows [EC=on] or [EC=OFF]. Select the desired mode for the con-
ductivity channel and press CAL.
7. This step is skipped unless the conductivity channel is on. The display shows
[AtC=on], [MtC=on] or [AtC=OFF], [MtC=OFF]. Switch the temperature com-
pensation on or off (for absolute measurements) and press CAL.
8. The display shows [rEF=25°C] or [rEF=20°C]. Select the temperature to which
all future conductivity measurements will be referred and press CAL.
(C838)
1. Press SET until the display shows [SEt rEF] and press CAL to enter the reference
type of the redox electrode [CALOMEL] or [AgCL]. Press CAL to continue or SET
to return.
2. The display shows e.g. [rEF=25°C]. Select the temperature (20...40°C) to which
all future conductivity measurements will be referred and press CAL.
1. Press SET until the display shows [SEt dAtE] and press CAL.
2. The display shows [dAtE=on] or [dAtE=OFF]. Select the desired mode and press
CAL.
3. Program the date (respectively year, month and day) by pressing CAL each
time.
1. Press SET until the display shows [SEt tiME] and press CAL.
2. The display shows [tiME=on] or [tiME=OFF]. Select the desired mode and press
CAL.
3. Program the time (respectively hour, minutes and seconds) by pressing CAL
each time.
