Calibration:
Always calibrate the electrode in the same conditions as future determinations
will require and make sure temperature remains constant. The instrument only
accepts the following standard values, in scientific notation: 1.10

1.10 -2 / 3.10 -2 / 1.10 -1 / 3.10
the display as [1.-3] (= 1.10
1. Prepare 2 or more (up to 19) standards, covering your future measuring range.
Each of them should be 3 to 10 times stronger than the previous one.
2. Press MODE until the display shows [Dir.Conc1], [Std.Add1], [Std.Sub1],
[Anl.Add1] or [Anl.Sub1] and choose [Dir.Conc1]. Press CAL to start the auto-
matic plotting procedure.
3. After rinsing the electrodes with distilled water, immerse them in
the first standard solution. The display will show e.g. [3.-7 263.8]
-7 / 263.8 mV). Select the first calibration value and press CAL when
(= 3.10
readings are stable.
4. After rinsing the electrodes with distilled water, immerse them in
the second standard solution. The display will show e.g. [1.-6 206.5]
-6 / 206.5 mV). Select your next standard and press CAL when readings
(=1.10
are stable.
5. Go on in the same way with all the next standard solutions. After the last one
has been entered, press MODE to stop the calibration procedure. The instru-
ment will now compute all values to a curve. In the mean time the display
shows briefly [WAIt].
6. After rinsing the electrodes with distilled water, immerse them in a blank
solution. Select [bL=on] or [bL=OFF] and press CAL. The display will show e.g.
[Eo=85.3]. When readings are stable press CAL.
7. The display shows one of the following modes: [Dir.Conc1], [Std.Add1],
[Std.Sub1], [AnL.Add1] or [AnL.Sub1]. Recall the desired method and press
MODE to proceed.
• After a method has been selected and PRINT is pressed, the instrument trans-
mits the whole curve to the digital output. In the meantime the display shows
shortly [PrintinG].
• Pressing RES during the measuring phase, permits you to choose between read-
ings in scientific notation or in ng/l, µg/l, mg/l or g/l.
Direct concentration:
1. Press MODE until the display shows [Dir.Conc1], [Std.Add1], [Std.Sub1],
[Anl.Add1] or [Anl.Sub1] and choose [Dir.Conc1]. Press MODE to proceed.
2. Rinse the electrodes with distilled water, immerse them in the samples, and
read the concentration on the display.
