d) Mounting the Wings

• Before you can mount the wings you need to sand out
two indents into the wing surface for the aileron linkage
levers (1).
• Remove the heat-shrink foil covering the pre-drilled
attachment screw holes (3) on the wings trailing edge
strengthener (2)
Then screw the wing and the trailing edge strengthener
to the fuselage using both of the M3 x 16 mm screws
provided.
• Check the correct orientation of fuselage to wing.
Distance A1 and A2 must be equal.
The drilled holes in the wings may need to be adjusted
to the side slightly.
• Once the wing is perfectly oriented, transfer the outer
contour of the trailing edge strengthener to the wing.
• Remove the heat shrink foil from the wing on the support
part of the trailing edge strengthener.
Leave a small edge on the foil which will later extend
into the gluing site.
• In order to glue the trailing edge strengthener to fit
perfectly, it is logical to remount the surface on the
fuselage again and to adjust all parts optimally to one
another before the glue sets fully.
