Errors produce response of the service message S or the error message P (see Chapter 5.2).

4.2.10.6 SERIAL NUMBER

Displays the device serial number for service support.

4.2.10.7 RESET

On selecting RESET and pressing the ENTER button for longer than 1 second, all parameters are reset to their
original values as at delivery time. The system is then restarted.

5 Error correction

The DME 3000 is equipped with the following tools for troubleshooting and error prevention:
ERROR STATUS menu (see Chap. 4.2.10.5)
INTERFACE STATUS menu ( see Chap. 4.2.10.4)
Plausibility message ( see Chap. 5.1)
Service message (see Chap. 5.2)
Error code display (see Chap.5.3)

5.1 Plausibility message P

Equipment error or measurement problems are reported via the Profibus diagnosis data if desired.

5.2 Service message S

Equipment error or measurement problems are reported via the Profibus diagnosis data if desired.

5.3 Error code display

If the DME display flashes and an error code is displayed after the supply voltage has been switched
on, the device must be repaired at the factory.
Exception: error bit 6: internal temperature > 60 °C. The device can be operated again if the temperature falls.
