Initial operation
g) Using the DJ microphone
• Set the input level and the sound of the microphone input as already described in "Volume control."
• If you want to make an announcement, push the TALKOVER selection switch (17) to the desired position.
Position "OFF": The DJ microphone is switched to the master output. The level of the other channels is not
influenced.
Position ON: The DJ microphone is switched to the master output. The volume of the other channels is reduced.
TALKOVER position: The DJ microphone is switched to the master output. The volume of the remaining channels
is reduced as long as the microphone is addressed. If you do not talk into the microphone, the volume of the other
channels is not influenced.
h) Playback from the computer
• With the input selection switches (4), select the desired USB interface (USB1 or USB2).
• On the computer, start playback via the corresponding playback software.
• During playback, the USB interfaces are treated the same way as an analog audio input.

i) Recording on the hard disk of a computer

• The USB interfaces can be used as inputs and outputs.
• During recording, the USB interface is used as output. It always carries the same signal as the output MASTER
OUTPUT (22).
• To record the mixing desk signal, simply start the recording function of your audio recording software (inform
yourself in the manual or the help function of the software).
