8. Installing the device

• Make sure when mounting on a desk with other equipment that there is suffi cient ventilation.
• Do not place the device on a soft surface such as, for example, a carpet or a bed etc.
• In addition, air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains. This can
prevent dissipation of heat from the device and can lead to overheating (fi re hazard).
• Do not drill any holes or screws into the product in order to attach the device somewhere as this may damage it and
impair its safety.
• When setting up the device, make sure that it has a secure footing and is on a stable surface as people could be
injured if the mixer fell down.
• When setting up the device, make sure that the connection cable is not being pinched or damaged by any sharp
edges.
• Always lay the cables so that no-one can trip over them or become entangled in them. Risk of injury!
• When selecting a location to set up the mixer, make sure it will not be exposed to direct, intensive sunlight, vibration,
dust, heat, cold or humidity.
• No other appliances with strong electric or magnetic fi elds, for example transformers, engines, cordless telephones,
radios or PCs may be located in the direct vicinity of the mixer as these could affect it.
In view of the variety of varnishes and polishes used for furniture, the base of the device might leave visible marks on the furniture
it is placed on as a result of a chemical reaction. Therefore the device should not be placed on valuable furniture without suffi cient
protection.
The mixer is suitable for installation in a desk and as a table device. There are 4 mounting holes in the upper covering board for fastening when
mounting on a desk.

9. Operation

Do not operate the device until you have familiarised yourself with the functions and this operating manual. Check again
that all connections are correct.
Switching the mixer on and off
Not observing the following sequence when switching the mixer on and off could damage the loudspeakers or the amplifi er.
Switching on
1. Check again that all connections are correct.
2. Make sure that all channel faders (2), MASTER LEVEL slide (7) and BOOTH control (8) are set to the minimum volume (slide channel fader
right to the bottom / turn the knobs to the left stop position).
3. First switch on the playback devices that are connected to the mixer.
4. Turn on the mixer by switching the POWER switch (6) to the "ON" (I) position. The power indicator (4) lights up.
5. Switch on the connected amplifi er. The mixer is now ready to use.
Switching off
1. To switch off the mixer, fi rst turn the volume on the amplifi er back to the minimum setting.
2. Switch off the amplifi er.
3. Then switch off the mixer using the POWER switch (6) and then switch off the playback devices (turntable, CD player etc.).
4. If you do not require the mixer for a longer period, remove the plug of the power cord from the socket.
Select input
Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader before an input selection switch is changed over. Due to the
different volumes of the input sources, this could otherwise result in sudden, excessive volume.
1. Select the required inputs using the LINE-PHONO, LINE-CD or LINE-USB / SD input selection switch (2).
2. Example:
When the LINE-PHONO switch is in the „PHONO" position it means that the signal of the turntable on the PHONO jacks is applied at that
channel. The LINE input is not reproduced in this switch position. To reproduce the LINE input, the LINE-PHONO input selection switch has
to be switched to the „LINE" position.

- SINGLE : le lecteur s'arrête à la fi n de la lecture d'une chanson.
- CONTINUE : le lecteur continue à lire successivement toutes les chansons jusqu'à ce que l'utilisateur appuie sur le bouton
xxii. CUE : indique quand vous passez au point de démarrage.
xxiii. FOLDER : indique le numéro de séquence du dossier.
6. Interrupteur d'alimentation POWER
Réglez-le sur « I » pour mettre en marche le mixer ; réglez-le sur « O » pour arrêter le mixer.
7. Régulateur MASTER LEVEL (NIVEAU MAÎTRE)
Réglez le niveau de sortie maître en poussant le bouton en haut pour augmenter le niveau de sortie et en baissant le bouton pour diminuer le
niveau de sortie.
8. Régulateur BOOTH
Réglez le niveau de sortie booth en tournant le bouton dans le sens horaire pour augmenter le niveau de sortie ; tournez-le dans le sens anti-
horaire pour diminuer le niveau de sortie.
9. Interrupteur de sélection de la courbe de fondu-enchaîné (crossfader)
Cet interrupteur détermine la caractéristique de réglage du crossfader (11). Commute la courbe de fondu-enchaîné : à gauche pour « slow
cut » (caractéristique dure, idéale pour le scratch), à droite pour « constant power » (caractéristique douce, convient pour les fondus délicats).
10. Régulateur CROSS FADER ASSIGN B (CANAL B DU FONDU-ENCHAÎNE)
Attribue l'un des quatre canaux (1 – 4) au canal B du fondu. Si un canal est attribué au canal A du fondu, il ne peut être attribué au canal B du
fondu.
11. Crossfader (Fondu-enchaîné)
Le fondu-enchaîné est utilisé pour faire une transition entre le canal A du fondu et le canal B du fondu : un canal est atténué (il devient plus
silencieux) et l'autre atteint son niveau normal.
Lorsque le fondu-enchaîné est en position intermédiaire, le canal A du fondu et le canal B du fondu sont exécutés avec le même volume.
12. Régulateur CROSS FADER ASSIGN A (CANAL A DU FONDU-ENCHAÎNE)
Attribue l'un des quatre canaux (1 – 4) au canal A du fondu.
13. Régulateur MIXING
Le bouton MIXING est utilisé pour faire un fondu-enchaîné entre le canal de sortie maître et le canal CUE de la sortie du casque : un canal est
atténué (il devient plus silencieux) et l'autre atteint son niveau normal. Tournez le bouton pour un fondu de fermeture (fade out) / d'ouverture
(face in).
14. Régulateur LEVEL (NIVEAU)
Réglez le niveau de sortie du casque en tournant le bouton dans le sens horaire pour augmenter le niveau de sortie ; tournez-le dans le sens
anti-horaire pour diminuer le niveau de sortie.
15. Raccordement PHONES
Un fi che écouteur de 6,3 mm est fournie pour le branchement d'un casque. En fonction de votre confi guration du bouton MIXING (13), vous
pouvez écouter le son du canal de sortie maître et du canal CUE.
16. Bouton TALKOVER
Lorsque le bouton est actionné, le volume de tous les canaux hormis celui du microphone est baissé pour permettre au DJ de faire des
annonces.
17. Vis de mise à la terre SIGNAL GND
La vis de mise à la terre est conçue pour mettre à la terre le tourne-disque raccordé. Attention, ce n'est pas une terre de sécurité.
