Initial operation
• With the switches CUE (14 or 18), you define, which input signal of the mixer is played back via the headphones.
• If the CUE button of a channel is pressed (the corresponding display lights up above), the input signal of the
respective channel is played back via the headphones. This position facilitates what is referred to as „pre-
listening", i.e. you can hear the input signal without it being reproduced on the connected amplifier. This will
enable you to find the correct start point – for example, when cross-fading or mixing. Channel CH1 is played back
via the left, channel CH2 via the right earphone.
• If both switches CUE (14 and 18) are depressed, the input signals of both channels are played back via the
headphones.

f) Cross-fading/mixing

• You can use the cross-fader (16) to cross-fade/mix between the signals from the two channels.
• When the cross-fader (16) is actuated, one channel is faded out (becomes quieter) and the other channel is faded
in (becomes louder) at the same time. In the central position, both fader channels are reproduced equally.
g) Using the DJ microphone
• Set the input level and the sound of the microphone input as already described in "Volume control."
• If you want to make an announcement, press the switch TALKOVER (20) (LED is lit) and talk. The mixer reduces
the volume on the other channels as long as the TALKOVER switch (20) is activated.
• Press the TALKOVER switch (20) again after making the announcement to deactivate the function. The
corresponding LED display is extinguished again.

Handling

• Never connect the power plug to the wall outlet immediately after the device has been brought from a cold room
into a warm one. The condensation water created thereby may damage the device.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation water has
evaporated.
• Never pull the mains plug by pulling the cable from the socket. Always only use the thus provided grip area.
• Remove the mains plug from the electrical outlet if the device is not in use for a longer period of time.
• For safety reasons always pull the mains plug from the socket during a thunderstorm.
• Music should not be listened to at an excessive volume for a longer period of time. This may damage your hearing.
