Troubleshooting
In purchasing the Mc Crypt USB Mixer, you have acquired a reliable product which has been designed using state-
of-the-art technology.
Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe here how to eliminate possible faults:
Please observe the safety instructions!
Device does not work after the mains switch POWER has been switched on:
•
The power pack unit has not been plugged into the socket correctly
•
The mains socket is not supplied with current
The mixer is turned on but no tone can be heard:
•
No input signal;check signal source.
•
Wrong input selected; select proper input.
•
Input level wrongly set; adjust level as described at „Setting the volume".
No signal can be heard although the level display indicates a signal:
•
Downstream device (amplifier) not switched on or incorrectly set
•
The output is not or wrongly connected.
There is a humming sound:
•
The record-player earth cables are not connected to the ground screws (18).
•
A buzz loop arises between the connected devices Connect the signal mass with special ground-insulated
cables.
A channel does not work:
•
A connection cable has come off.
•
The balance control on the amplifier is out of adjustment
Tone is distorted:
•
The level on the mixer is incorrectly set or the connected amplifier is overmodulated
•
The connected device does not adhere to the required specifications for a cinch connection or does not have the
appropriate connections
•
The volume on the connected amplifier is too high.
Repairs other than those described above should only be performed by an authorised
specialist.
