→ For the "low damping" setting in empty battery mode, the user must have the necessary
muscular and cognitive abilities to control a freely moving knee joint without stance phase
control.
→ From empty battery mode, operating mode (1st mode) can be reactivated by charging the
orthosis.
The damping value activated in empty battery mode can be configured by the Orthotist. Damping
can be high (stance phase damping value) or low (cycling mode).

7.5 Storage and Bleeding Air

Air may accumulate in the hydraulic unit if the orthosis is stored for longer periods and not in an
upright position. This is noticeable through sounds and irregular damping behaviour.
The automatic ventilation mechanism ensures that all functions of the orthosis are again fully avail­
able after approximately 10 - 20 steps.
Replacement is not required in this case.

7.6 Operating States/Error Signals

The orthosis joint module indicates operating states and error messages with beep signals.
