3.3.2 Guewheel
Note
Moving
the cuewheel [28] will cause whatever data has been entered
to
be taken
as
the cue point
and
will
cause
the CD
player
to
repeatedly play
a
window of
30
frames
up to this cue point
(see
figure). The display
will show the current
laser
position
track,
index
and time. As the dial
is
moved
the cue point is
changed
corresponding to the dial movement (cw
=
advance,
ccw =
retard).
The dial
has
a resolution of
75
frames per revolution.

lndicators
Seven Segment Displays
The
edit module
will contain
11
seven
segment
LED
displays
all
of
red color. The
displays
will be grouped into five pairs and one single display and assigned
to
the
following field
names.
TRACK
(two digits)
This field will show the
track for the currently selected cue point.
INDEX
(two digits)
This field will show
the index for the currently selected cue point.
MINUTES
(two digits)
SECONDS
(two digits)
FRAMES
(two digits)
These
three
fields will be
used
to
display
time data. The time
data displayed depends on the
current state
of
the
edit.
Entering data
in any of the fields will always use the following strategy (and
will
cause the
following messages from the seven segment displays):
