End review
Cue Keys
The
end review key [a] will get the
player
to
play
the 8 last seconds before
the
current
stop cue. When this one is reached, the laser pen will return to the present
start cue position.
When the
fader is opened and fader start is enabled, then the end review function
will not be permified.
lf
the fader becomes active (and fader start is enabled) and
the player is
playing
the end
review,
then
the laser pen will be positioned on start cue and will
start
playing.
ln
Edit mode,
if no end cue
is
defined,
then end review will be executed at the
end
of
the
track defined for the start
cue.
The controller is capable
of
memorizing
four segments for a
disc in the form of
a
start cue plus an end cue. Each of these segments is associated
with
one of the
cue keys [5-8]
(I-AST_CUE, CUE_1,
CUE
2
or
CUE_3),
Next
to
each
cue key are
two
LEDs (one
red, one green) defining
the
state of the
respective cue
key.
Green
on
indicates
that
the cue
is
defined. Red
on
indicates
that
the
cue
for that
key is the ACTIVE cue. Active implies that the cue
will be used
in
the
next player
operation caused
by
a
play/pause operation. Green flashing indicates that this
cue is
in
the waiting
line
to
become active
(AUTO
SEQUENCE and SEQUENCE).
lf
one
of
the cue keys
is
selected
(and
the cue
is
defined, green LED on) then this
cue
becomes
the active cue (red
LED
on). The laser pen
will
search
for
the
beginning
of the
respective
segment and
will
pause.
When
play
is
pressed then
the active cue selected
will be
played.
It
is
permissible
to
select more than one cue
by simultaneously pressing
several
cue keys. ln this case the first key found
to
be pressed
will become the first active
cue,
the other defined
cues
will be set in the active and waiting state. lf the
play
key is now pressed the player
will play the active cue. When it
has
finished playing
the segment the next cue in the sequence
will become the active cue and will
be
played
or
paused
depending on
the setting of the DIL switch (see chapter
2.2).
Cues in the waiting state have their green LED flashing. Cues
which were
active
and have been played
will
have
their active
LEDs
e>tinguished.
Last Cue
has
a different
function from Cue
1,2,3.
lt
is
simply used
as
a
temporary
storage cue and holds
the cue
point currently active when
the
user has
not
selected one
of
the other cue
keys
to
be active. lt
will become default active when
the play/pause keys are used with no other cue selected. On
entry
of
a new disc,
last cue
will be
set
to the current cue
read
from
the player. lf a cue
is
defined
in
"LOCAL
EDIT"
(defined on
the player), then when the edit mode
is
terminated, the
controller
will
read
the new current cue and copy it to the
L"AST
CUE register
of
the corresponding command module.
Cue 1, 2,
3
can be used in association with disc recognition. The controller
is
capable
of recognizing
254
discs. lt will store
for each of these discs up to
three
cue points (cue
1,
2, 3),
The cue points
will
be
stored using the absolute time value
to frame precision and the associated index. When
a
disc
is
entered into
a
player
which the controller recognises and cue points have been previously defined then
the green
LEDs
will
illuminate
for the cue points which are present. The
lowest
numbered
cue point available will automatically become the active
cue point.
This
will be indicated
by
the red
LED of
that
cue
key.
