STUDER A729
Loop
Auto
seq
lf one of the CUE RETURN keys (please
refer
to
chapter 3.4 for
an explanation
of
this
term) is pressed in fast dial mode, the actual position will
be
taken as the cue
definition (catch
on
the fly feature).
Loop [30] allows the
user
to
specify that the active segment
on
the player selected
will constantly be repeated when the player
has
been instructed
to start playing.
When
loop is
selected
there is
a corresponding
LED
indication
on the command
module
of
the controller.
Loop
is
disabled on all players when auto sequence
is
enabled.
The loop function will take notice of the fader start option and
the position of
the
fader.
The
loop function will not be performed
if
the loop end is identical
to the end
of
the CD. ln this case the programmed loop with be played only once and the
System
willthen
stop.
Auto Sequence [31] effectively chains all cue
1,2,3
registers
together from
all
command modules to form one long chained sequence.
The
action
is
as
follows
:
Assume
that the cue 1,2,3 present
LEDs
are
active on some of
the
command
modules.
Pressing
the AUTO SEQ
key on
the edit module when no
player is in edit
mode
will
get
the controller to check
all
the defined cues and set
them
active
for
the AUTO SEQUENCE. lf one of the cues
is
found
to
be defined
without end
cue,
then
the
AUTO SEQUENCE
mode
will
not
be entered and
the LEDs
(active
and
present LEDs) of
the cue will
be
flashing and the
display of the command module
will show SEQ
ERROR.
lf no error
is
detected, then the AUTO SEQUENCE
wilt
be
started when
the PISY
key
of one
of
the players is pressed (except
if
this module
is
not part
of
the sequence,
i.e. if
there is no cue defined). When
the cue
is played
to the
end cue, then
the
player
will be positionned on the
next
waiting cue
and
play
off
(if
enabled by
the
DIL
setting).
lf
there
is
no remaining
cue
to
play,
the next
player will become active
in
the AUTO
SEQUENCE.
Anytime
a
cue
can be defined (in edit mode) and taken in the sequence for
the
players
which are not active. Any cue can be re-activated by
simply
pressing the
cue button.
lf
one cue is found
to
be
programmed
without
an end
cue,
then the
AUTO
SEQUENCE
mode cannot be
entered.
The mode can be left by pressing the key AUTO SEQ again (the mode will
be
switched off
but
the playing cue,
if
any,
will still play until its end
cue is reached).
To perform
an
AUTO SEQUENCE, all players
have
to
be set
to
PAUSE.
A
waiting cue can only
be
taken out
of
the sequence by clearing
it.
All cues which are selected for playing will
have
their green LEDs tlashing.
The
active cue have
its
active
LED ON.
ln AUTO SEQUENCE
the
system
will be automatically stopped
if
all
programmed
segments
have
been played.
