Controller structure
The
CD remote controller allows up to four remote CD players
to
be
controlled
from one central station.
The
controller provides the following functions:
r
The basic
CD
player facilities such as playing and pausing.
r
Start
and end cue specification and editing facilities allowing the
user
to specify
a
segment
of
the disc
for playing to
a
resolution
of
1
frame.
r
The ability
to
remember 254
discs and
for each of those disc three
individual,
distinct music segments including
the corresponding time, frame, track,
(and
index) data. When a
disc is placed in a player, the CD controller will recognize
the
disc and automatically
recallthe
predefined
music segments. The user can
then select
to
play
the retained music segments by
a
very simple
selection
procedure.

alter
the pitch of the audio output for the players which
are equipped with this

r
The
ability

a
sequence of music segments
to
be
played.
The controller operation surface consists basically
of
a
keypad
and
a
display
system. Displays
are either seven segment
LED
type or
single LED indicators.
When seven segment displays
are used they are normally grouped into pairs
and
will normally display a two digit number
(except
for the display of the
varispeed

is
a
decimal
value).
ln this
manual
a

individual
seven
segment elements

a
part
thereof
is
called
