3.2.1 Keys
Pause
Play
Start review
This
key [1] will
cause
the playerto mute audio and hold the laser pen
position
steady.
The displays (track, index, minutes
and seconds fields) will stop
running
and remain steady.
The ON-LINE
LED
will
be off,
the
READY LED
will be on or flashing dependent
on
the location
of
the laser
pen.
lf
the player was in edit mode then entering the pause
key
will
cause
termination
of
the edit mode and
return
to
the command module. The cue points defined
in the
edit
will assumed
to
be
the start and end cue and
the
laser
pen
will
pause on the
start
cue (green
READY LED
will be on). These cue points will be assigned
the
LAST_CUE
register.
The pause key
is
disabled
if
the
fader
is
open and fader
staft
is
enabled.
This
key [2] will
cause
the
player
to
play normally from
the
position at which the
laser is pausing. The
track/index/minutes/seconds displays will show the
present
laser
position relative
to
either
the start of the actual
track or the defined end
cue
(depending
on
the state of ETIRT).
The ON-LINE
LED
will be
illuminated,
the
READY
LED
will be off and the
ON-AIR
LED
will be illuminated only
if
the fader
is
open.
lf
the
player
was in edit mode then entering
the
play key
will
cause
termination
of
the edit mode and
return
to the command
module.
The
cue points defined
in
the
edit will assumed
to
be
the start
and end cue and used
as
the cue
points for which
the play is
required.
The cue defined this
way will be kept
in
memory under the
LAST_CUE
register.
lf the auto-sequence mode is active,
but not started yet, then pressing the
PLAY
key
will start the auto-sequence procedure, going in play rnode for the first
cue
defined for
this
player.
The start-review
key [3] will cause the player
to
play
from
the current position
until
the key is
released.
At this time
the laser pen will return
to
the position where
it
was pausing.
ln Edit mode the controller will
set
the current cue definition
to
the player and play
off. Of course, the function
is
only executed
if at
least
a
track
number
was
specified for the start
cue.
ln
Command mode the
controller
will
get
the
player
to
play from the
actual
position. The
function is only executed
if
the player is pausing (thus start and stop
cues defined) and
the fader switch is closed. The location where the
player
was
pausing
when
the key was
pressed
will be set as a virtual start cue for the
start
review
function,
that
is
to
say,
the laser pen
will be positioned on the last
pause
location when the key
is released.
lf the
fader switch goes
from close
to
open,
then the player will remain in
play
mode regardless
of
the start review key
until
the stop cue
is
reached.
