without the ISOFIX fastening (universal)

After adjusting the child safety shoulder belts (see 5.1), fasten the child seat with the vehicle 3-point-seat belt as follows:
- To put the mount shield* (Fig. Z
side (the locking mechanism is released).
- Push the ISOFIX connectors (Fig. A, No. 9) at the green lever (Fig. A, No. 8) completely into the seat base.
- Clip the connector protection* (Fig. Z
- Place the child safety seat on the vehicle seat.
- Pull out the belt and feed it (Fig. R) through the belt guides (Fig. A, No. 6).
- Engage the locking piece (Fig. S) in the buckle.
- Swivel the clamping lever (Fig. A, No. 15) downwards and place the belt crosspiece in the belt clamp (Fig. A, No. 16).
- Place the child safety seat under load (place your knee in the seat). Simultaneously tighten the belt (pull strongly on
the crosspiece) and swivel the clamping lever (Fig. A, No. 15) upwards until it engages (Fig. T).

Checklist - correct fitting

CAUTION!
Incorrect fitting of the child's safety seat can endanger the health, or put at risk, the lives, of all occupants of
the vehicle. For this reason, carry out the following checks for your child's safety and that of the other
occupants of the vehicle carefully.
To ensure your child's safety, check that
- the child safety seat is mounted firmly in the car (with and without ISOFIX fastening),
- the seat shell is locked in position on both sides (using the ISOFIX fastening),
- the TopTether is pulled tight over the backrest of the vehicle seat (with ISOFIX fastening and TopTether anchoring),
- and that the belt is firmly tightened and not twisted (without the ISOFIX fastening),
- the locking piece and the buckle of the car safety belt are firmly locked in position (without the ISOFIX fastening).

Child safety

5.1

Adjusting the shoulder belts

Note
Before mounting the child safety seat in the car, ensure that the shoulder belts are adjusted correctly for your
child. To do this, place your child in the seat.
The shoulder belts must be set at the level of, or slightly above, the child's shoulders.
Shoulder belts must not run behind the child's back, at ear height or above.
Shoulder belts are adjusted as follows:
- Slacken the belts fully (see 5.2).
- Press the buttons of the belt height adjustment on the rear of the seat shell together (Fig. D, arrows A) and lift the
side bolts of the belt height adjuster out of the housings on the rear of the seat shell (Arrows B).
- Select the correct shoulder belt height by moving the belt height adjuster up or down and engage its side bolts back
in the housings on the rear of the seat shell.
CAUTION!
The side bolts of the belt height adjuster must click securely into place in the housings on the rear of the
seat.
- Tighten the belt (see 5.3)
5.2

Slackening the belt

- Press one finger on the adjustment knob (Fig. B, No. 25) and simultaneously pull the shoulder belt (Fig. B, No. 33)
forwards (Fig. P). Do not pull on the shoulder pad (Fig. B, No. 18).
5.3

Tightening the belt

- Pull (Fig. H) on the tension strap (Fig. B, No. 28). Do not pull upwards or downwards but straight forwards.

It is essential to do this with great care, in order to guarantee the protective function of the child safety seat.
