What to do if... ?
...the motor fails to start?
Possible cause:
◆ Mains power not available.
◆ The thermal protection system has triggered.
Solution:
◆ Check the power with a meter to ensure that the supply voltage (230 V / 50 Hz)
is available and check the wiring.
◆ Wait approx. 20 minutes until the motor has cooled down.
...The tubular motor stops after a short period of time during the
configuration and test procedures?
Possible cause:
◆ The adapter (8) may have slipped off of the limit ring (14) on the drive head (6).
Solution:
◆ Check that the adapter (8) sits flush with the drive head (6) and is fully inserted
into the awning shaft (11).
Slide the adapter (8) back so that it is flush with the drive head (6) and slide the
tubular motor into the awning shaft (11) until the adapter (8) is flush with the awning
shaft (11), see Fig. 2 and 4. Re-adjust the end points if necessary, see
page 41.

operation?
Possible cause:
◆ The thermal protection system has triggered.
Solution:
◆ Wait approx. 20 minutes until the motor has cooled down.
The tubular motor stops whilst extending the awning?
Possible cause:
◆ The motor must push the awning fabric out, because the shaft is not running smoothly
or it is corroded.
Solution:
◆ Mount the catch (10) without the freewheel mechanism (see page <34>).
