End point adjustment
Mortal danger due to tearing off the motor cable (13).
Ensure that the motor cable (13) is not taken up by the awning shaft (11) or torn off
during the configuration process.
You have various options for configuring the end points, which are
described in the following section:
◆ Setting the upper end point automatically (by means of blockage detection) and
manually setting the lower end point.
◆ Manually setting the upper end point and lower end point.
Important relationship between the obstacle detection system and
installation of the catch.
◆ If the catch is mounted without the freewheel mechanism, then the tubular motor
will not switch off automatically, as it will not detect obstacles.
◆ If the catch is mounted with the freewheel mechanism, then the tubular motor will
switch off automatically when extending the awning as soon as the freewheel travel
is overcome.
Manual adjustment of end points
Initial installation
For initial installation, the engineer can carry out the end point configuration with the help
of the set button (7) on the motor (9) or with a commercially available cord switch
device (20). Please observe the safety instructions in the cord circuit setting unit manual.
Subsequent modification of the end points with external controllers
If you want to subsequently modify the end points for your tubular motor, you can use
an external switch as set button, as previously shown, or you can use your tubular motor
controller in order to readjust the endpoints.
IMPORTANT
◆ End points must be set in order to switch off the motor when they are reached for
both directions of travel up (s)/ down (t).
◆ The tubular motor must be fully installed.
◆ The set button (7) must be easily accessible.
◆ Disconnect the cord circuit setting unit (20) after undertaking the
end point configuration and connect the tubular motor in accordance
with connection diagrams (j).
◆ The external switch lead (h) must be connected to neutral conductor (f)
after configuration of the end points (see fig. j).
Risk of injury when adjusting the awning due to crushing of the hands
by the moving awning.
STOP
Never reach into the area of the awning shaft and joint arms when the motor is running.
