Vorbauausrichtung prüfen und einstellen
Der Vorbau muss im Hauptrahmen so ausgerichtet sein dass das
Vorderrad in einem Winkel von ° zur Fahrbahn steht Damit
sich der Vorbau nicht verdreht z B beim Einstellen der Rahmen
länge wird er mit einem Nutenstein Bild mitte in einer Nut
fixiert In diesem Nutenstein befindet sich eine Excenterschrau
be die ihn aus der Mitte verschiebt und somit den Winkel des
Vorbaus verändert Diese Einstellung bleibt normalerweise beste
hen so dass eine Neueinstellung nur in seltenen Fällen notwendig
ist Sollte der Vorbau trotzdem nicht im ° Winkel zur Fahrbahn
stehen gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Falls der Vorbau aus dem Hauptrahmen herausgenommen
wurde z B für den Transport schieben Sie ihn so in den
Hauptrahmen dass der Nutenstein in die Nut im Vorbau
passt
Prüfen Sie die Ausrichtung des Vorbaus Er muss so aus
gerichtet sein dass das Vorderrad in einem Winkel von ° zur
Fahrbahn steht
Falls die beiden Innensechskantschrauben zwischen Vorbau
und Hauptrahmen noch nicht gelöst sind lösen Sie sie mit
einem mm Innensechskantschlüssel
Lösen Sie die Kontermutter mit einem Gabelschlüssel
mm und verdrehen Sie die Excenterschraube
stein mit einem Innensechskantschlüssel mm so dass der
Vorbau im ° Winkel zur Fahrbahn steht
Halten Sie die Excenterschraube mit einem Innensechs
kantschlüssel mm fest und ziehen Sie die Kontermutter
mit einem Gabelschlüssel mm fest
Ziehen Sie anschließend die beiden Innensechskantschrau
ben zwischen Vorbau und Hauptrahmen mit einem mm
Innensechskantschlüssel mit Nm fest
Achtung!
Diese Schrauben müssen unbedingt mit Nm fest angezo
gen werden Bei Fahrten mit losen Schrauben droht Unfallge
fahr und Beschädigung des Rahmens
Falls der Vorbau zuvor aus dem Hauptrahmen herausgenom
men wurde beachten Sie das Kapitel Vorbau aus und ein
bauen auf der vorigen Seite

Checking and adjusting the alignment of the front boom
The front boom must be aligned in the main frame in such a way
that the plane of the front wheel is perpendicular at a ° angle
to the ground To ensure that the front boom does not rotate out
of alignment e g when adjusting the frame length it is braced
by a small groove plate
fits inside a groove in the front boom This plate has an eccentric
screw that when turned pushes the plate to the side in order
to adjust the rotational angle of the front boom The position of
this plate rarely requires readjustment However if the front wheel
is not positioned perpendicular to the ground adjust the groove
plate as follows:
If the front boom has been removed from the main frame
°
e g for transport insert it back into the frame tube ensur
ing that the groove plate slides inside the groove of the
front boom
Check the alignment of the front boom It must be positioned
in such a way that the plane of the front wheel is perpendicu
lar at a ° angle to the ground
If the two Allen bolts
front boom have not been loosened then loosen them using a
mm Allen key

Loosen the locknut
centric bolt
until the plane of the front wheel is positioned perpendicular
to the ground

Then while bracing the eccentric bolt
key retighten the locknut
Finally tighten the two Allen bolts
and the main frame using a mm Allen key and a torque of
Nm ft lbs
Caution!
It is absolutely necessary to tighten these bolts with a torque
of Nm ft lbs Riding with loose bolts poses a high risk
of accident and damage to the frame
If applicable proceed with the remaining steps for fitting the
front boom following the instructions given in the previous
section "Removing and fitting the front boom"
