Plug the other connector of the patch cable into an outlet of the DSL router/
switch or into an available network socket.
Note: To operate a COMfortel 2600 IP without PoE support, plug the other
connector of the patch cable into the PoE socket of the PoE Injector and
then connect the PoE Injector to the network via the LAN socket.

If required, insert the power supply plug(s) and PoE Injector into a freely ac-
cessible 230 V network mains outlet.
Note: During the automated configuration from a provisioning server, the
telephone requests the address of the provisioning server and the name of
the provisioning file from the DHCP server or the redirect server. Subse-
quently, the telephone starts up, displays the start page, and is ready for
operation. If the telephone starts up with the language selection instead and
then with the setup assistant, you can enter the address of the provisioning

If a DHCP server has been configured in the local network, the tele-
phone automatically receives its IP address, subnet mask, as well as
the gateway and DNS server addresses from this DHCP server during
a DHCP request.
The dialogue in which you select the language appears (only during the
initial start-up of the telephone).
