CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING: Always ensure that the appliance is out of reach of young children.
Do not open the swing-out door during operation as steam and hot water may
escape. During operation and even shortly thereafter, some parts of the appliance
(coffee basket, gold tone filter or paper filter, carafe) may be hot. Always unplug
the appliance, and leave the appliance cool down, before moving or cleaning the
appliance and before removing the coffee basket or filter. Do not attempt to move
the appliance or disassemble any parts during operation.
Hygienic cleaning is done via the steps given in the following instructions. Ensure
to protect the base, control panel, power cord, and power plug against splashing
water and moisture. Do not immerse the base, or power cord in water or any other

Possible Reason The Solution
Use the drip tray as a tool to turn
the Grind Size dial.
REMOVE DRIP TRAY, OPEN DOOR,
INSERT CUP, CLOSE DOOR.
To remove all beans from the grin-
der: first empty the bean hopper
and replace the bean hopper. Fill the
water tank and select 12 cups. Place
the empty carafe in the coffee bre-
wer and start a brewing cycle. After
the grinder stops, unplug and clean
the coffee basket and grinder.
