5.13 P Clamp Special functions
Below please fi nd a short description of the procedures
only for "p" machines.
5.13.1 Power Clamp Off Mode
On machines with automatic clamping the Power
Clamp pedal can be disabled.
The action of the Power Clamp is no longer needed to
mount and remove wheels when they are fi xed using
the optional clamping devices installed in place of the
machine standard Power Clamp device.
To preserve machine parts and the devices, in these
cases the clamping pedal must be disabled.
Activating the Off Mode
To activate the Off mode, disabling Power Clamp
release, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down for at least three seconds both
the "PRECISION" (8, Fig. 5-45) and "Balancing
Mode" (9, Fig. 5-45) keys. An acoustic signal
indicates that the setting is complete.
The Power Clamp pedal is now no longer

Disabling the Off Mode
To disable the Off mode, enabling normal Power Clamp
operation, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down for at least three seconds both
the "PRECISION" (8, Fig. 5-45) and "Balancing
Mode" (9, Fig. 5-45) keys. An acoustic signal
indicates that the setting is complete.
The setting is transferred automatically into the
permanent memory and will not even be changed again
by choosing the modes of operation as proposed by
the manufacturer.
The condition can only be changed with the procedure
described above.
